- Registration portal on www.bits-student.org under the "services" tab is already up and will remain active till 14th April 2011

- Please select your configuration as well as warranty option while registering

Payment Procedure

-Payment is to be made through DD in favour of BITS Pilani, payable at Pilani.

-The DD is to be submitted to the SWD office latest by 5.00pm, 16th April 2011

 

General Information

-The configurations mentioned were provided to us by HP and may not be available as some specific model in the market.

-The deal for discount has been done through the Engineering Hardware Division, BITS Pilani.

-All students purchasing the laptops will get individual warranty card issued on their name.

-HP's onsite warranty is starting very soon in Pilani.

-A student is allowed to buy more than one laptops for himself.

29th year of Blood Donation Camp at BITS Pilani

A two day blood donation camp was held at BITS Pilani on 30-31 January and this happens to be the 29th year of blood donation camps at the Institute which has been holding this activity every year without any break The program was organized by the National Service Scheme of the Institute in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi, led by Dr Jasbir Singh apart from 15 helping staff.

BITSian is the new CM of Maharashtra

Prithviraj Chavan is the next designated Chief Minister of Maharashtra as announced on the morning of 10th November 2010. The swearing-in will take place on 11th November 2010. The Indian National Congress selected him to be the successor of Ashok Chavan. He is a Member of the Parliament of India representing Maharashtra in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He is currently the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Prithviraj Chavan was born in Marathi family in Indore Madhya Pradesh to D. R. Chavan. He graduated from BITS, Pilani with a B.E.(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 1967 and also holds a M.S. from University of California, Berkeley (U.S.A.). He spent some time working in the field of aircraft instrumentation and designing audio recorders for anti-submarine warfare in the US before returning to India and entering Indian politics.
Prithviraj Chavan is the Minister of State for the ministries of Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and in charge of Prime Minister's Office. Earlier he was also the Minister Of State in charge of the Department Of Atomic Energy.
